Pendant cinq jours très chargés à Thunder Bay, nous avons participé aux activités de louanges, de musique, et d’apprentissage. Une de ces activités nous a appris comment les enfants autochtones avaient été forcés de quitter leurs familles pour aller dans les écoles résidentielles. Nous avons aussi appris de nouveaux chants que nous avons hâte de partager avec notre paroisse. Il restait évidemment du temps pour rencontrer de nouveaux amis et même jouer à la fontaine du Marina Park.

The youth got back this week from the gathering of Canadian Lutheran and Anglican Youth (CLAY). This year the theme was telling and listening to stories. During five very busy days in Thunder Bay, Ontario, we participated in worship, music and learning. In the Blanket Exercise, we learned how indigenous children were forcibly taken from their families and sent to residential schools. We learned lots of new music that we’re eager to share with our parish. And with all that, we still had time to make new friends and even play in the fountain at Marina Park.
